Children's Garden is open year round and managed by Greg and Jessica Coleman, Founders of Color The Skies. This half acre garden in Modesto is purpose-driven to help those in need of fresh, organic produce. All the produce that is grown is done so by volunteers and all the food is donated directly back to food insecure families in Stanislaus County. We take the opportunity to teach kids how to grow their own food and through this they discover that fresh is best! We welcome your help harvesting and replanting this October during Love Modesto! Project includes: fortify soil with organic matter, repair drip lines, plant fall crops (broccoli, cabbage, kale, lettuce), clean area around the garden, weed, rake.

Love Modesto October 9th begins at 8:00 am online at for our Virtual Rally. We will all meet here BEFORE GOING TO YOUR PROJECT LOCATION at 9:00 am.
When you arrive at your project location make sure to check in with you project leader. You will need to receive instructions from them on the specifics of your project.
Stanislaus County Public Health encourages volunteers to take appropriate safety precautions that include wearing face coverings, hand washing, social distancing, and staying home if you or someone in your household is sick.
